Homemade breath freshener dog treat Recipe

A recipe that is healthy and works like a natural breath freshener for dogs is our Peanut Butter and Mint dog Biscuits (sounds good, maybe you should make a few for yourself) Just be careful your dog does not bite your fingers while you are giving him this dog biscuit! They will love it and it’s a healthy and holistic way of treating bad dog breath!

This recipe is for 12 dog biscuits.

Mix together

  • ½ cup whole wheat flour
  • ½ cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 3/4th cup cornmeal
  • 1/4th cup of brown sugar
  • Add 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt.

In a separate bowl beat together

  • ¼ cup butter and
  • ¼ cup peanut butter, once smooth
  • add two eggs.

Mix in the flour and 1/4 cup chopped parsley and 1/4 cup chopped mint. Knead to a soft dough. Refrigerate for one hour. Roll out and cut bars or biscuits out of this. Bake in an oven at 160 degrees for 35 minutes or until firm.
